Memory of the Future invites audiences into a world where classical music meets cutting-edge technology and visual art. The program features the world premiere of Mari Kimura’s Sasakwa: The Wild Geese — an interactive trio for clarinet, violin, piano, and her groundbreaking MUGIC® motion sensor - alongside Joshua Rubin’s original work for clarinet and motion sensor. Also on the program are world premiere of Kaija Saariaho’s Figura trio (arranged by Rubin) and Béla Bartók’s Night Music, performed by Suejin Jung with a mesmerizing animation by artist Yiru Cainy. Together, these works blur the boundaries between sound, gesture, and image - creating a dialogue between tradition and the future.
